Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Aerospace Academy: 6th-8th Grade


semaa-logo-e1486747882405.png6th grade level students will learn about adobe structure building and the effects of earthquakes through a partnership that the STEM Outreach Center has formed with the Center for Bio-mediated & Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG.) In 7th and 8th grade, students will learn how to make air-powered rockets and launchers and launched/retrieved their specimens with the visual help of glow in the dark sticks.

 

 

 

Our Goals

  • The curriculum for SEMAA Spaceport is constructed to teach engineering solutions to natural disasters, studying alternative forms of energy and exploring aeronautics.
